Diab congratulates coronavirus follow-up committee

Prime Minister Hassan Diab congratulated on Tuesday the Coronavirus follow-up Committee, and stressed that the government is ready to implement all recommendations submitted by its members.

He also reiterated the importance of reinforcing all security and preventive measures, notably during the upcoming weeks, even with the decrease in number of infected persons.

He finally highlighted the importance of closely following up the recent developments related to the virus, noting that Lebanon has so far succeeded in limiting the spread, compared to other countries.

PM Diab’s word came during his participation to the Committee’s meeting this afternoon at the Grand Serail, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Higher Defense Council, Major-General Mahmoud Al-Asmar, PM Advisor for health issues, Petra Khoury, President of the Republic Michel Aoun’s Advisor, Walid Khoury, and representatives of local and international organizations and institutions. He then visited the Disaster Risk Management room to inspect its work.
