Zeaiter family stages sit-in outside Great Prophet Hospital
A number of people from the Zeaiter Family and relatives of Mohammad Zeaiter gathered on Wednesday outside the Great Prophet Hospital, on the airport road, to express solidarity with Mohammad Zeaiter who is receiving treatment following the Lailaki incident where he was allegedly beaten on his legs when ISF members were attempting to arrest him.

For his part, Development and Liberation bloc MP Zeaiter, who was participating in the sit-in, said that the incident requires judicial procedures, adding that "the shooting was not necessary".

Zeaiter stressed that the clans will commit to the agreement reached during the meeting held with Speaker Nabih Berri regarding restoring stability throughout the Lebanese regions. The MP denounced any attack against citizens referring to Mohammad Zeaiter's handling.

On Tuesday, Internal Security Forces stopped an illegal van and shot at the driver who is a member from the Zeaiter Clan while in the midst of an attempted escape on his part. According to reports, the Internal Security Forces patrol came under fire from gunmen, as they were confiscating four van near Lailaki Bridge.
