US expects Israel to accept peace agreement to end the war in Gaza if Hamas agrees to it

White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said on Sunday that the United States expects Israel to agree to a peace agreement to end the war in Gaza if Hamas agrees to it.

In an interview on ABC, Kirby added, "This was an Israeli proposal. We expect that if Hamas agrees to the proposal as it was conveyed to them, Israel will say yes to it."
