Israel denies considering acceptance of international force deployment on Egypt-Gaza border

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday denied reports that Israel is considering agreeing to the deployment of an international force along the narrow border strip between Gaza and Egypt, known as the Philadelphi Corridor.

In a statement, his office said, "Prime Minister Netanyahu insists on the principle that Israel will control the Philadelphi Corridor to prevent the rearming of Hamas, which would allow them to repeat the atrocities committed on October 7."
