Israeli army kills two Hamas militants with Hazem; weapons and funds found in vehicle

The Israeli army spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, announced the killing of Wissam Hazem, the Hamas commander in Jenin, in northern Samaria.

He said, "The Israeli army identified a terrorist cell led by the commander of the Hamas 'terrorist network' in Jenin."

He added, "Hazem was involved in carrying out shooting attacks, directing and detonating explosive devices, as well as other 'terrorist activities' in the Judea and Samaria area."

He clarified that shortly afterward, "an Air Force aircraft eliminated two other militants who attempted to flee from the vehicle they were in with Hazem."

He announced that the two "militants," who were Hamas operatives in Jenin working under the command of Wissam Hazem, were involved in 'terrorist shooting attacks' targeting Israeli towns in the seam area.

He explained that inside the vehicle, rifles of the M16 type, a pistol, ammunition magazines, explosive devices, gas grenades, and tens of thousands of shekels in "terrorist funds" were found.
