Israeli court rules to end general strike

The Tel Aviv labor court ruled that the general strike, which halted most economic activities in Israel, must end at 2:30 PM local time (11:30 GMT), according to court documents reviewed by Reuters.

The Histadrut Labor Federation initiated the general strike on Monday to pressure Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to agree to a ceasefire in Gaza after six hostages held by Hamas were killed, sparking widespread protests across Israel.
