Blinken arrives in Qatar to seek momentum for ending Gaza war

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Qatar as part of efforts to gain momentum for ending the war in Gaza following the assassination of Yahya Sinwar in an Israeli military operation.

Blinken met with Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Blinken's visit is part of a regional tour that began on Tuesday in Israel, where he met with officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

He then traveled to Riyadh on Wednesday before departing for the Qatari capital on Thursday to assess Hamas' position on a ceasefire.
