Palestinian President accuses Israel of attempting to displace Gaza's population

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas stated on Thursday that Israel is planning to "empty" the Gaza Strip of its residents, particularly in the northern areas, emphasizing the necessity of halting the ongoing aggression that has persisted for over a year.

In a speech at the BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, Abbas remarked, "It has been a full year since the largest disaster to befall the Palestinian people since the Nakba of 1948, which is the Israeli war marked by acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip, paving the way for its depopulation, especially now in northern Gaza where the occupying forces are resorting to starving the residents."
