MP Zahra to LBCI: There are no constitutional justifications for holding cabinet sessions

Lebanese Forces MP Antoine Zahra slammed on Monday the concept of making the caretaker government decide on issues that do not go in line with its prerogatives.

"The stances of President Michel Sleiman, who abides by the constitution, show that he will not accept such concept," he said.

"There are no constitutional justifications for holding cabinet sessions," Zahra said in an interview with LBCI's Nharkom Said TV Show, adding that "even the security situation is tackled at the Higher Defense Council".

MP Zahra also noted that "as long as Hezbollah does not respect the Lebanese state, the Lebanese Forces will not share a single government with the group".
