Abi Ramia to LBC: We do not trust those who hinder electricity plan

Change and Reform bloc member MP Simon Abi Ramia said that the bloc does not trust those who hinder the electricity plan in the cabinet, adding that some people are trying to make it seem like the bloc will gain personal benefits from the plan.

Abi Ramia told “Nharkom Said” TV show that passing the electricity plan will not be a victory for Energy Minister Gebran Bassil but for PM Najib Mikati, Speaker Nabih Berri and “National Struggle Front” leader MP Walid Jumblatt.

“The electricity draft law will be passed without the Energy Minister’s prerogatives being undermined”, Abi Ramia said, refusing to take responsibility for the failure of any “Change and Reform bloc Ministry”.
