Head of the parliamentary Information Committee MP Hassan Fadlallah commented on the lawsuit filed against TV host Hicham Haddad, saying that the judicial decision in the regard is wrong and must be rescinded immediately.
“We did not see such an urge to protect Lebanon’s ties with Arab countries before when these relations were threatened; the public prosecution did not act then,” he stated.
Fadlallh added that the situation has become unacceptable; stressing that Lebanon is known for its plurality and responsible freedoms under the Lebanese law.
“We do not live in a country rules by a law, the provisions of which comes on demand,” he added.
