LAF arrest kidnappers of Beshara, return $380,000 to his family

The LAF intelligence bureau succeeded at arresting one of the involved persons in the kidnapping of citizen Youssef Beshara who was released upon the payment of a $400,000 ransom.   

The abductor was arrested in Chiyah area in Beirut’s Southern Suburb.          

The intelligence forces also found the amount of $380,000 in one of the abductors house. The money was returned to the Beshara family.       

The security forces have the kidnappers names and are currently looking for them.       

In an interview with LBCI, Youssef Beshara thanked the Lebanese Army, stressing that he "wouldn’t be here had it not been for the efforts exerted by the LAF."          

For her part, Beshara's daughter criticized those who say that the Lebanese state has no prestige.       

Interim Armed Forces Commander Major General Walid Salman also stressed that the LAF will exert all possible efforts to protect Lebanese citizens and promised that all persons involved with kidnapping cells and operations will be arrested.
       
Lebanese citizen Youssef Beshara was kidnapped by unidentified armed men on Monday at 5:30 am on Bsalim road. He is the brother of the head of the Syndicate of Bakery Owners and owner of Beshara Bakery.          

Beshara was released on Tuesday, after his wife paid a ransom of $400,000 USD near Mar Mikhail Church in Chiyah, as per the request of the abductors.
