Marouni to LBCI: let’s not waste time discussing defense strategy

Kataeb MP Elie Marouni told LBCI Nharkom Said TV show on Thursday that he’s not forming electoral lists in Zahle yet, for purposes of awaiting the opinion of his allies.

Commenting on the defense strategy issue, Marouni said that "it’s better not to waste time" discussing the national defense strategy, stressing that "the National Dialogue has no purpose."

Marouni emphasized that Hezbollah should surrender its arms to the Lebanese state and stated that some Shiites are against these weapons.

On the cabinet issue, Marouni affirmed that for the moment it is not possible to form a new cabinet.

“We are opposing the cabinet to avoid dragging the country into serious issues," he added.
