UK, US and Canadian Ambassadors Meet with Army Chief
Lebanese Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun met on Tuesday with British Ambassador to Lebanon Ian Collard, US ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy Shea, and Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon Chantal Chastenay, whereby they discussed Lebanese-Syrian border security during the meeting of the Higher Supervisory Committee on the aid program to protect land borders.

They tackled Lebanese Army's plan to protect Lebanese-Syrian borders, as well as challenges they are facing during current crises in Lebanon.

For his part, Collard announced “an additional support of $1.4 million in spare parts for Land Rover vehicles provided by the British government at the beginning of the year, in addition to personal protective equipment for female soldiers deployed on borders, in order to support the resilience of the Lebanese Army.”

"We remain proud of our partnership with the Lebanese Army, and we look forward to further strengthening our military and security relations," he stressed.
