The media office of the Ministry of Public Health regretted on Tuesday the death of one person and the injury of another as a result of eating a meal of fish, which turned out to be the “toxic Puffer Fish.”
In a statement, the office warned that there are plenty of fish of this type in the Lebanese Sea.
In this regard, fishermen and consumers were required to thoroughly check the type of fish that is being sold or bought, as it is preferable to divide fish in reference to the types well-known by the public.
The Ministry of Health published pictures of the "Puffer Fish" to facilitate its identification and spread awareness.
