MP Yassine to LBCI: Officials must work to rebuild state and economy

MP Yassine Yassine said on Monday that any dialogue that will be held between political parties must be based on the Taef accord.

Yassine’s comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show whereby he said “what is required of officials is to work to rebuild the state and the Lebanese economy.”

“We, as Change MPs believe in the army’s weapons, and this matter is important and essential to us,” he stressed.

"A normal country cannot have two armies, and the state must decide when to go to war and when to declare peace," he said in reference to Hezbollah’s weapons.

As for the presidential elections, Yassine noted that contacts are ongoing with parliamentary blocs in order to implement their “presidential initiative.”
