Civil Defense quells Bourj Hammoud landfill blaze after three days of intense effort

On Saturday evening, Civil Defense personnel extinguished the fire that broke out on Thursday at the Bourj Hammoud landfill.

The firefighting operations spanned three consecutive days. Civil Defense personnel received support from equipment across various centers and assistance from helicopters of the Lebanese Army Air Force and the Beirut Fire Brigade.

Monitoring operations continued into the night, with Civil Defense vehicles stationed at the site to intervene if needed.
