WHO warns of 'overstretched' Lebanese health system following intense Israeli attacks

Lebanon's health system remains impacted and overstretched by a new escalation of violence in the country, the World Health Organization said Monday, warning that displaced people were at increased risk of diseases.

Some 118,466 new displacements have taken place between Sept. 23 and 27, the U.N. agency said in a situation report, as Israel continues to carry out airstrikes on targets in Beirut and elsewhere in Lebanon.
