Israeli army calls on residents of southern Lebanon villages to evacuate

Israeli Army spokesperson Avichay Adraee posted on 'X' on Sunday that "an urgent message has been issued to residents of the following villages in southern Lebanon: Hula, Meiss El Jabal, Blida, Mhaibib, Shaqra, Baraachit, Majdal Selm, Qabrikha, Kounine, Beit Yahoun, Jmaijmeh, At Tiri, Bani Hayyian, Al-Tamriyyah, Touline, Deir Seryan, Qoussair, Bafliyeh, Jebel el Aadas, Biyad, Srebbine, Borj Rahhal, Ain Baal, Rachidiyeh, and Haniyya."

He claimed that "Hezbollah's activities compel the army to act against it. For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately."

Adraee emphasized that "anyone near Hezbollah elements, facilities, or weapons puts their life in danger."

He called on residents to "evacuate your homes and move immediately north of the Awali River."

"Be cautious — you are prohibited from heading south. Any movement towards the south puts your life at risk. We will inform you of the appropriate and safe time to return to your homes," he concluded.
