Hezbollah official says Israel obstructs search for senior leader Hashem Safieddine

Hezbollah official Mahmoud Qamati stated on Sunday that Israel is not allowing the search for the group's senior leader Hashem Safieddine to proceed following its bombing of the southern suburbs of Beirut on Thursday.

Hashem Safieddine's fate remains unknown.

Qamati added in an interview with Iraqi state television that selecting a new Secretary-General for Hezbollah will take some time.
