Blinken urges Lebanese Army to take responsibility for security in South Lebanon

The administration of U.S. President Joe Biden is continuing discussions aimed at halting the ongoing war in the region.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who began his Middle East visit in Tel Aviv, canceled a planned trip to Jordan and headed toward Saudi Arabia, which is hosting the Jordanian king.

Before departing Tel Aviv, Blinken urged the Lebanese army to take responsibility for security in South Lebanon.
