Speaker Berri engages with German FM and Iraqi Acting Speaker on regional security and diplomatic efforts

Lebanon's Speaker of Parliament, Nabih Berri, received German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and her accompanying delegation at the second presidency headquarters in Ain al-Tineh.

The meeting was attended by the German Ambassador to Lebanon, Kurt Georg Stoeckl-Stillfried, and Berri's media advisor, Ali Hamdan.

They discussed the developments in the overall situation in Lebanon, as well as the political and field updates in light of the escalating aggression against Lebanon.

The German minister left after the meeting, which lasted about an hour, without making any statements.

Berri also welcomed the Iraqi acting Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Muhsin Al-Mandalawi, and his accompanying delegation in the presence of the Iraqi Chargé d'Affaires in Lebanon, Nada Majoul, and MPs Ayoub Hamid and Qablan Qablan.

Al-Mandalawi briefed Berri on the parliamentary diplomatic efforts to stop the Israeli aggression against Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, emphasizing Iraq's solidarity and support for Lebanon and its people in facing the repercussions of this aggression.

They also discussed the outcomes of the Inter-Parliamentary Union conference in Geneva in this context.

Among Berri's visitors was MP Wael Abou Faour from the "Democratic Gathering," with whom he discussed the political developments and the evolving situation.
