Israeli army alleges targeting of 'Hezbollah command centers' in Beirut's southern suburbs

Israel's army announced a series of airstrikes allegedly targeting 'Hezbollah command centers' in Beirut's southern suburbs.

The operation, carried out by Israeli Air Force warplanes with intelligence provided by the Military Intelligence Directorate, focused on sites allegedly used by Hezbollah for operational planning.

According to the Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee, the strikes aimed to weaken Hezbollah's capabilities to carry out attacks against Israel by targeting weapons production facilities and arms depots established over the years in central Beirut.

The statement accused Hezbollah of deliberately embedding its infrastructure within densely populated civilian areas, claiming this tactic endangers Lebanese civilians by using them as human shields.
