Lebanese Army deploys in southern border areas following Israeli withdrawal

The Lebanese Army issued a statement confirming the deployment of military units in key southern border areas following the withdrawal of Israeli forces.

The deployment has been coordinated with the mechanism committee overseeing the ceasefire agreement.

Army units have been stationed in the town of Yaroun in the Bint Jbeil sector, Marwahin, Birket Riche in Tyre's western sector, and other border areas south of the Litani River.

The army is actively supporting citizens returning to border towns. It is maintaining close coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) to monitor the situation in the region under the framework of U.N. Resolution 1701.
