Iraqi PM affirms support for Palestinian statehood, proposes reconstruction fund for Gaza and Lebanon

Speaking at the Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh, Iraq's Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani emphasized the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

He also renewed Iraq's initiative to create an Arab and Islamic fund for the reconstruction of Gaza and Lebanon, underlining the region's commitment to supporting the rebuilding efforts in the wake of the ongoing war.
