'Massive flow of support' needed in Syria: UN aid chief says

The United Nations humanitarian chief said Monday that huge amounts of aid were needed in war-ravaged Syria following the ouster of President Bashar al-Assad, saying the world body was ready to "go big."

"The situation is very dramatic," Tom Fletcher told journalists in Damascus, stressing that the U.N. wanted to "get a massive flow of support into Syria, really scale up fast."
