Kursk governor says Ukraine controls 28 Russian settlements

The governor of Russia's Kursk region said on Monday that Ukraine controls 28 residential settlements in the border area.

He added that Ukrainian forces had advanced 12 kilometers into Russian territory in an incursion that began on August 6.
