Typhoon Yagi death toll jumps to 59 in Vietnam

The number of people killed after Typhoon Yagi swept through northern Vietnam rose to 59, state media said Monday.

"By noon on September 9, the number of people killed because of Typhoon Yagi has increased to 59, including 44 killed in landslides and flash floods," state-controlled news site VNExpress said, citing a report from the Ministry of Agriculture.
