Kremlin calls Kyiv's UN, Red Cross invitation to Kursk a 'provocation'

The Kremlin on Monday branded Kyiv's invitation for the U.N. and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to areas Ukraine holds in Russia's Kursk region as a "provocation."

"This is a pure provocation, and we expect a sober assessment of such provocative statements," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
