Orban, due for EU speech, postpones travel over storm

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who was scheduled to speak at the European Parliament this week, said Monday he would postpone all his "international obligations" as Storm Boris batters central and eastern Europe.

"Due to the extreme weather conditions and the ongoing floods... I have postponed all my international obligations," Orban, who was supposed to speak at a debate on the program for Hungary's six-month EU presidency on Wednesday, said on X, without giving further details.
