UN chief says 'ready to work constructively' with Trump

The United Nations is "ready to work constructively" with Donald Trump's administration, Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said in a statement Wednesday after the Republican's stunning US election victory.

"I commend the people of the United States of America for their active participation in the democratic process... The United Nations stands ready to work constructively with the incoming administration to address the dramatic challenges our world is facing," Guterres said.
