Romanians begin voting in parliamentary elections: AFP

Romanians began voting Sunday in parliamentary elections which are being held in between two rounds of tightly contested presidential polls.

The vote for the new parliament in the EU and NATO member that shares a border with Ukraine comes a week after far-right candidate Calin Georgescu took a shock lead in the first round of presidential elections, with the run-off of those polls due on December 8.
