Ailing pope's condition 'critical but stable:' Vatican

Pope Francis, who is in hospital with pneumonia in both lungs, is still in critical condition but is stable, the Vatican said Tuesday.

"The Holy Father's clinical condition remains critical but stable. The prognosis remains reserved," it said in a statement.
