Myanmar junta declares a week of national mourning after quake

Myanmar's ruling junta declared a week of national mourning on Monday for victims of the country's devastating earthquake, which has killed more than 1,700 people.

The official mourning period runs until April 6, the junta said in a statement, with national flags to fly at half-mast.
