Dollar hits more than three-year low against euro on trade war panic

The U.S. dollar plunged Friday to its lowest level against the euro since February 2022 as a trade war between the United States and China deepened, adding to recession fears.

The greenback dropped almost two percent to $1.1424 and also fell around one percent against the UK pound.
