Israeli Army: Airstrike on school in Gaza targeted militants

The Israeli army said that an airstrike in an area with a UN-run school in Gaza on Sunday targeted militants operating in the vicinity.

It added, "This location served as a hideout and operational infrastructure from which attacks on Israeli army forces operating in the Gaza Strip were directed and executed."

The army also stated that steps were taken to minimize the risk to civilians in the area.
