Lebanon celebrates 68th Independence Day

Today Lebanon celebrates its 68th Independence Day. The celebrations started with an army parade in in Beirut downtown attended by President Michel Sleiman, PM Najib Mikati, Speaker Nabih Berri, the Commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces General Jean Kahwaji and several Ministers and MPs.

Columns of soldiers and officers, military tanks, armored personnel carriers and missile launchers have paraded through Shafiq Wazzan Ave.
