March 14 Secretary General Fares Souaid says presidential bid is not a public opinion issue
March 14 Secretary General Fares Souaid said on Sunday that the presidential elections are not a public opinion issue but a battle of “political forces’ balance.”
Souaid’s comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show whereby he noted that a man with a political experience similar to Marada leader MP Sleiman Frangieh would not head to Paris to meet with Future Movement leader former Prime Minister Saad Hariri without coordinating fully with Hezbollah.
Franjieh's chances to reach the Baabda Palace have recently emerged in the wake of a Paris meeting between him and the Future movement leader former Prime Minister Saad Hariri.

Lebanon has been plunged into a presidential vacuum after the mandate of president Michel Sleiman ended in May 25 with rival political blocs still divided over a successor.
