Rawshe Rock shines in pink
During the month of October, the world month for the fight against breast cancer, the Lebanese Association for the fight against breast cancer decided to send an awareness message and to celebrate the healing from breast cancer through lighting the Rawshe Rock in pink. This event was held in coordination with the American University of Beirut and Beirut's municipality.

After lighting the rock, the festival was inaugurated by displaying a documentary warning against the dangers of cancer.

In this context, Leila Ajam, one of the patients who recovered from breast cancer, stressed that "the patient must be strong and must have a will to heal from the disease".

In turn, activist Samer al-Amin said that the Rawshe Rock was chosen as an essential monument in Beirut, noting that the pink is to refer to the cancer.

In turn, activist Mirna Hobballah called on everyone "to conduct the necessary tests to be sure of not suffering from breast cancer".

The festival included the distribution of medical awareness brochures on how to fight breast cancer.
