Kataeb Party leader Gemayel meets Russian Ambassador Rudakov

Kataeb Party leader MP Sami Gemayel met on Thursday with Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Rudakov, whereby they discussed the latest developments.

They also tackled the file of the displaced Syrians, and Gemayel recalled the initiative he launched in 2018 regarding this file, especially that Kataeb party was the first to mention that Russia plays a key role in their return to Syria, based on its role in the region.

Gemayel then underlined the need to find an end in this file and separate the return of the displaced from waiting for the final political settlement in Syria, stressing that Lebanon is no longer able to handle the situation in light of the difficult circumstances it is currently experiencing.
