Israeli army urges southern Lebanon residents to stay away amid ongoing strikes

The Israeli army issued a warning to residents of southern Lebanon on Saturday, urging them to avoid returning to their homes as military operations targeting Hezbollah positions continue in the area.

According to Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee, the military is striking Hezbollah sites located within or near villages in southern Lebanon.

The statement emphasized that the Israeli army "does not wish to harm civilians, but for their safety, residents are prohibited from returning home until further notice."

“Anyone heading south could be putting their life in danger,” Adraee said.

The Israeli army assured residents they would be informed when it is safe to return to their villages and towns.
