Lloyd Austin says no evidence of Hezbollah cash stash under hospital in Beirut

U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin announced that he has seen no evidence of a Hezbollah cash stash beneath a hospital in Beirut, emphasizing that Washington will continue working with Israel to gather more detailed information.

The Israeli army claimed on Monday that Hezbollah was hiding cash and gold amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars in a hideout constructed beneath a hospital in Beirut.

Austin stated to reporters in Rome, "We haven't seen any evidence of that at this moment. But, as you know, we will continue to collaborate with our Israeli counterparts to obtain better information regarding what they are specifically looking for."
