Hamas leader says: 'We appreciate' Lebanon's right to reach agreement protecting its people

A leader of Hamas, Sami Abu Zuhri, told Reuters on Wednesday that the movement "values" Lebanon's right to reach an agreement that protects its people and hopes for a deal that will end the war in the Gaza Strip.

He added, "Hamas has shown great flexibility in reaching an agreement and remains committed to achieving a deal that ends the war on Gaza. The problem has always been Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's reluctance to reach an agreement."
