War monitor reports 14 wounded in Syria from Hezbollah pager blasts

Fourteen people were wounded in Syria on Tuesday when pagers used by Hezbollah exploded, according to a Britain-based war monitor.

This incident adds to a toll of at least eight dead and 2,750 injured in Lebanon.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the 14 people, whose nationalities are unknown, were injured in Damascus and its surrounding areas.

A source close to Hezbollah told AFP that some of its members were among those wounded in the pager blasts in neighboring Syria, though the exact number was not specified.
