Cyprus urges Lebanon and Israel to exercise restraint, offers to mediate

A spokesperson for Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides said he urged restraint in light of escalating tensions in the Middle East during separate phone calls with the prime ministers of Lebanon and Israel on Saturday.

Presidential spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis stated that Cyprus is ready to act as a diplomatic channel and facilitate communication between the two sides.
