Israeli army increases preparedness and deploys forces to Golan Heights amid escalating Syrian conflict

In response to the ongoing situation assessed by the General Staff and Northern Military Command since Thursday, and in light of developments in the internal fighting in Syria, the Israeli army has decided to deploy both air and ground forces to the Golan Heights.

In a post on X, Avichay Adraee, the Israeli army spokesperson, claimed: "The IDF is deployed in the border area and has raised its readiness to handle various scenarios.''

He added: ''The Israeli Army is closely monitoring the events and preparing for all offensive and defensive scenarios. We will not allow any threats near the Israeli border and will take action to thwart any threats to the citizens of the State of Israel."
