The editor in chief of Al-Akhbar newspaper business page, Mohammad Zbib, appeared Monday before the Public Prosecution, following a complaint filed by Interior Minister Nouhad Mashnouq against him.
The lawyer of Mohammad Zbib said that the session will be postponed until October 01.
For his part, the lawyer of Interior Minister Nouhad Mashnouq clarified that the information published by the journalist “is not true and affects the dignity of the minister,” noting that the check represents the price of a sold property.
Journalist Mohammad Zbib published on his Facebook page a copy of a check in the amount of LBP 1 billion and 436 million issued back in 2002 from Al-Madina Bank in favor of Interior Minister Nouhad Mashnouq.
