Lebanese army removes IS warnings on two churches in Tripoli
Minister of Justice Achraf Rifi called on Sunday for an investigation to be carried out into the burning of crosses in the northern city of Tripoli.

Also on Sunday, unknown assailants defaced two churches in the northern city of Tripoli with phrases saying that the “the Islamic State is coming”

Lebanese Armed Forces soldiers rushed to the area, and removed the phrases.

Investigations were lauched in order to reveal circumstances behind the incident.

On Saturday, several people were seen burning the Islamic State flags at Achrafieh's Sassine Square.

Rifi vowed on Saturday to legally pursue those who participated in the incident.
