Defense Minister Selim inspects army units-[PHOTO]

Minister of Defense Maurice Selim inspected on Tuesday a number of army units, including the Support Brigade and the Mount Lebanon unit, and was briefed on the situation of the soldiers.

 

Minister Salim lauded “the sacrifices made by the military and their commitment to the principles and values they live by in the military institution despite the difficult circumstances that the country is going through,” and urged them to “remain fully prepared to keep pace with the parliamentary elections on May 15."

 

He also noted that the “financial aid that they will receive come to help them mitigate the financial challenges.”

 

Minister Selim also paid a visit to the Military Police, where he praised "the leadership's keenness in terms of discipline as well as to abide by International conventions regarding the investigation procedures and the rights of detainee."

Minister Selim concluded his tour by inspecting the departments at the military medical facility in Badaro, emphasizing that "the military medical facility remains the safety valve for the health and safety of all military personnel, whether in active service, retirement, or the civilians working in the military institution."
