Israeli army says it carried out operation in Naqoura area near UNIFIL base

The Israeli army stated that its forces conducted an operation on Thursday morning in the Naqoura area of southern Lebanon, near a base of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

It added that instructions were issued for UN forces to remain in protected areas, after which Israeli forces opened fire in the area.
